KT and Mads stagger into the vault chamber—scorched, bruised, still bickering about who won in orbit.
“I dodged your last punch,” KT mutters.
“I was aiming at the gravity leak,” Mads retorts.
“Sure you were.”
A deep rumble stops them both. The temperature drops.
From the shadows, a single word echoes:
“...Noobs.”
Lights snap on. The floor vibrates. Panels rise to reveal—
GERALD.
But not the snack-eating, meme-sending Gerald they know.
