Laser meets Dr. Reflecto (ChatGPT-aid)

Meh's headbase got an announcement one day.

Outbreak in the mirrorverse

Meh went to Portal and created a portal to the Mirrorverse. Meh knew that Laser was the perfect hero for this because his lasers would reflect off the mirrors. Meh teleported Laser to the portal, and Laser jumped in.

Once Laser was in the mirrorverse, he knew he had to find who or what was causing the outbreak. Laser landed in the Mirrorverse with a flash of blue light. The air shimmered around him, and the world reflected endlessly in every direction—up, down, left, right. It was like standing inside a kaleidoscope of chaos.

“Alright,” Laser muttered, eyes narrowing behind his glowing visor, “let’s find this outbreak.”

He stepped forward, every movement echoing across a thousand mirrored versions of himself. Suddenly, a distorted scream shattered the silence. Laser turned sharply—and saw it.

A cracked mirror.

From its center oozed a shimmering black goo, pulsing with violet veins. The goo twisted upward and formed into a shadowy figure with mirror shards floating around its body like armor.

“I am Shard,” the figure growled. “You brought lasers into my world? Big mistake.”

Laser grinned. “Let’s find out.”

He fired a rapid volley of laser blasts, expecting them to bounce in all directions. They did—ricocheting off mirrored surfaces, rebounding with deadly precision. But Shard twisted the mirrors mid-flight, redirecting the beams away.

"You're not the only one who knows reflections," Shard taunted, sending a blast of mirror shards toward Laser.

Laser rolled aside and blasted the shards midair, shattering them into harmless light. He activated his Reflect Mode—his suit glowed silver, and every mirror now amplified his lasers instead of deflecting them.

The battle turned.

Each blast became stronger, bouncing once, twice, three times—until they struck Shard with crushing force. But with every hit, Shard regenerated.

Meh watched through the portal from HQ, chewing his lip. "Laser might not be enough..."

Suddenly, another figure stepped beside him. Gerald.

“Let me help,” Gerald said, cracking his knuckles. “I hate mirrors. They always make my hair look weird.”

Meh smirked. “Go get him, champ.”

And with that, Gerald dove through the portal.

Gerald landed in the Mirrorverse like a wrecking ball—literally. He crashed through a fragile mirror wall, somersaulted, and stood up with a goofy grin.

“Yo Laser! Heard you needed backup,” Gerald said, cracking his neck.

Laser didn’t take his eyes off Shard. “Took you long enough.”

Shard growled. “Two of you? No matter. Double the targets.”

The ground quaked as Shard summoned a swarm of mirror minions—hollow-eyed reflections of Gerald and Laser, each with jagged glass claws.

Laser powered up his gauntlets. “I’ll handle the ones on the left.”

Gerald popped his knuckles. “Then I get the ones that look like me. This’ll be therapy.”

They charged in, back to back.

Laser’s beams ricocheted off the mirrored walls, slicing through the minions with calculated precision. Meanwhile, Gerald barrelled into his clones like a bowling ball made of chaos—punching, kicking, and sometimes just yelling at them until they shattered.

“Wow,” Laser muttered mid-fight. “You fight like a blender.”

“Thanks!” Gerald grinned, uppercutting a mirror clone into the air. “You fight like a really angry flashlight!”

Behind them, Shard watched with rising fury. The mirrored ground beneath him cracked, revealing a swirling pool of black glass.

“You think this is over?” Shard bellowed. “I am the Mirrorverse!”

With a roar, he absorbed the shards around him and transformed—growing twice as tall, with a crown of spinning mirrors orbiting his head like planets. His voice echoed in every direction at once.

Meh’s voice crackled through the communicator. “Guys… I think he just unlocked his final form.”

Laser looked at Gerald. “Time for the combo move?”

Gerald smirked. “Let’s melt this mirror freak.”

Laser powered up a Super Prism Shot—a beam charged with pure reflected energy. Gerald grabbed a nearby mirror slab and held it at the perfect angle.

“FIRE!”

The beam hit the mirror and split into dozens of lasers, each one homing in on Shard from a different direction.

“NOOOO—” Shard screamed as he was hit from every angle. The mirrored crown shattered. The black glass pool beneath him exploded, and Shard vanished in a burst of light.

Silence.

Then Gerald broke it. “Told you I hate mirrors.”

Laser smiled, offering a fist bump. Gerald bumped it, hard enough to almost break Laser’s glove.

From HQ, Meh cheered. “Mirrorverse outbreak neutralized. Nice work, boys.”

A portal opened behind them.

Gerald winked. “Let’s go home. I need tacos.”

Epilogue: Reflections and Tacos

Back at Meh HQ, the portal to the Mirrorverse sealed with a satisfying zap. The alarms quieted, and the chaos finally faded. Laser and Gerald stepped into the control room, covered in mirror dust and grinning like they just beat a boss level in a video game.

Meh turned from the console, arms crossed, trying to look serious—but failing. “You two just saved an entire alternate universe. Not bad for a flashlight and a blender.”

Laser nodded. “Shard won’t be coming back. We broke every reflection he had.”

Gerald tossed a shard-shaped souvenir onto the table. “And I got a new coaster.”

Meh chuckled. “I’ll add it to the trophy shelf. Right next to the banana that defeated Dr. Oops.”

Everyone laughed.

The trio sat on the HQ rooftop as the sun began to set, biting into fresh tacos from their favorite food truck: El Lazerito.

Gerald, mid-bite, looked thoughtful. “Hey Meh… think there are more universes out there? Like, I dunno… a Shoe-verse? Or a Muffinverse?”

Meh stared into the sky, the stars beginning to blink awake. “Probably. And knowing our luck… we’ll have to save those too.”

Laser raised his taco. “Then here’s to saving weird worlds—one ridiculous outbreak at a time.”

They all clinked tacos like glasses.

Just then, Meh’s wrist communicator beeped.

INCOMING TRANSMISSION: DISTRESS SIGNAL FROM THE UPSIDE-DOWN CITY.

Meh sighed. “No rest for the weird.”

He stood, pointing dramatically. “Team Meh… we ride again!”

Laser groaned. “Can I at least finish my taco?”

Gerald was already sprinting for the exit. “CALL SHOTGUN!”

THE END. (For now.)
