THE STRANGE TUESDAY AT MEH HQ

Nobody really knew why the sky over Meh City looked like someone spilled blue Gatorade across it, but that’s how the day started. Alan was halfway through a bowl of Cinnamon Toast Crunch when Gerald barged into the room like he’d been chased by a microwave.

“Bro, you’re not gonna believe what Camden did,” Gerald said, out of breath.

Alan sighed. “What now?”

Apparently Camden had decided it was a great idea to “upgrade” the Meh HQ security system by connecting it to a potato battery. Not a giant machine powered by potatoes. Just… one potato. A single Idaho potato sitting on a stool with wires sticking out of it like messy hair.

Sweetheart walked in right behind them, chewing bubble gum like she was getting paid for it. “Your alarm system is literally snoring,” she said, pointing at the potato. And sure enough, the security monitor next to it was slowly flashing: Zzz…

Before anyone could fix it, the HQ doors slammed open. Camden stood there proudly holding a clipboard. “SUCCESS! My invention is energy-efficient and environmentally friendly!”

The potato system sparked, smoked, and gave up on life.

“Environmentally friendly,” Gerald repeated, “because it dies instantly?”

Camden didn’t even flinch. “It’s called innovation.”

Right then, the ground shook. Not like an earthquake—more like someone enormous took a step. Everyone ran outside, expecting a monster or maybe Gerald’s laundry finally collapsing under its own weight. Instead, floating above the street was a giant glowing cube with the word MEH spinning around it like a screensaver from 1996.

Sweetheart’s gum popped. “Okay… who ordered the cosmic cube?”

Nobody did. But the cube suddenly shot a beam of light at Camden’s potato, and for a second everyone thought Camden had officially ended the universe. Instead, the potato lifted off the ground, spinning with tiny lightning sparks around it.

Gerald whispered, “Alan… your potato is ascending.”

The potato glowed brighter, then blasted off into the sky like it had somewhere important to be.

Camden pumped his fist. “YES! Phase two is complete!”

Alan stared. “What was phase one??”

Camden thought about it. “I think that was the potato snoring?”

Sweetheart rolled her eyes. “We’re doomed.”

Gerald just shrugged. “Eh. Just another Tuesday.”

And honestly… it kinda was.
