Meh meets Joann

Meh was walking through the forest of whispers, the leaves humming softly as if carrying secrets. Suddenly, a ripple of sound twisted unnaturally in the air—echoes of laughter, footsteps, and a faint whisper saying, “Who’s there?”

From behind a cluster of glowing mushrooms, a girl stepped out. Her eyes sparkled with mischief, and every word she spoke seemed to linger in the air a beat too long.

“Hi,” she said, her voice folding over itself, layering echoes of hi… hi… hi… around Meh. “I’m Joann. And… well, you’re… interesting.”

Meh tilted their head. “Interesting? That’s… vague. What do you do?”

Joann smiled, and the forest responded. The sound of her laugh spun into a shimmering wall of light and shadow. “I make sounds… real. I call it Echo Weaving. Watch.”

With a clap of her hands, the forest around them transformed. Birds’ chirps became tiny sparkling guardians. The wind’s rustle formed twisting, floating paths in the air. Meh’s eyes widened—they could feel the energy of every sound like a living thing.

“So… you fight with… noise?” Meh asked, cautiously stepping forward.

Joann nodded. “Not just fight. I create, I trap… I protect. And you… you’re going to be fun to meet.”

Meh grinned, already sensing a new ally—or maybe a new rival—in Joann. The forest seemed to hum in approval, echoing the start of something big.
