Clash of Rivals: Nathan vs Alexis
The crowd tightened into a circle as Nathan and Alexis faced each other, the noise around them fading into a low buzz. For a moment, neither moved. Just eye contact—sharp, focused, unbreakable.
Nathan stepped forward first.
Alexis reacted instantly, dodging to the side as Nathan lunged. The movement was quick—too quick for most people to follow—but Alexis stayed calm, circling, watching, waiting.
“You’re too predictable,” Alexis said under their breath.
Nathan didn’t respond. He rushed again, faster this time, forcing Alexis backward. Their shoes scraped against the ground as they blocked and deflected, barely holding their position.
Then—an opening.
Alexis pivoted and countered, landing a clean strike that forced Nathan to stumble back. The crowd gasped, the energy spiking.
Nathan wiped his lip, a slight grin forming. “Not bad.”
This time, he didn’t charge blindly. He paced, adjusting, reading Alexis the same way Alexis had been reading him. The tension snapped again as they both moved at once—clash, break, clash again.
Each exchange got faster. Smarter.
Nathan feinted left—Alexis took the bait—then he spun right, catching Alexis off balance. Alexis hit the ground hard, the air knocked out of them.
Silence.
For a split second, it looked over.
But Alexis pushed up, breathing heavy, eyes sharper than ever. “You’re gonna have to do better than that.”
The final exchange came fast.
No hesitation. No holding back.
They collided one last time—movement blurring, the crowd erupting—until one of them finally fell, unable to get back up.
Nathan stood there, chest rising and falling, staring down at Alexis.
“Fight’s over,” someone in the crowd said.
Nathan didn’t celebrate. He just nodded, stepping back as the noise returned all at once.
Alexis, still on the ground, let out a small laugh. “Yeah… for now.”
