Meh Series: Speed vs. Teleport — The Time Loop
The crowd filled the Cosmic Speedway. Every member of Team Meh had gathered for the biggest race in history.
Teleport stretched.
“You know this is pointless, right? I just blink to the finish.”
Speed smiled.
“Maybe.”
The countdown began.
3…
2…
1… GO!
POP!
Teleport vanished instantly and appeared on the finish line.
“Winner!” the announcer shouted.
Everyone sighed.
“Told you,” Teleport laughed.
But Speed never stopped running.
His feet struck the ground faster…
…and faster…
…and faster.
The air became a blur.
Lightning wrapped around him.
Reality itself began to bend.
The stars stretched into glowing lines.
Then—
CRACK!
A blue shockwave exploded.
Speed had crossed the barrier between seconds.
He wasn’t just running through space anymore…
He was running through time.
Everything around him reversed.
The cheering.
The clouds.
The countdown clock.
Teleport suddenly found himself standing back at the starting line, confused.
“What…?”
The countdown read:
3…
Speed smiled.
“I’ve got another chance.”
This time, before the race even began, Speed sprinted.
He circled the planet thousands of times before the clock even reached…
2…
He placed one hand on the finish line…
…then ran all the way back to the starting line.
No one noticed.
Time caught up.
1… GO!
Teleport vanished—
POP!
—but as he appeared at the finish…
Speed was already there, leaning against the trophy.
“I’ve been waiting.”
The sensors flashed.
WINNER: SPEED
Teleport stared in disbelief.
“That’s impossible! I teleport instantly!”
Speed grinned.
“You teleported across space.”
“I outran time.”
The crowd erupted.
Meh laughed.
“So… the only way to beat instant teleportation…”
Speed nodded.
“…is to start yesterday.”
From that day on, Speed unlocked a legendary new ability:
Chrono Sprint
By reaching impossible speeds, Speed can briefly run backward through time, giving himself another chance before an event begins.
Even Teleport admitted with a smile,
“Okay… that one’s actually unfair.”
