Meh Meets James Vo
It was an ordinary afternoon in Mehearth when Meh was walking through the park, looking for something fun to do.
“I’m bored…” Meh sighed. “There has to be somebody interesting around here.”
Suddenly, a bright blue portal appeared in front of him.
WHOOSH!
Out stepped a guy wearing a backpack with a confident smile.
“Uh… where am I?” the stranger asked.
Meh blinked. “You’re in Mehearth! I’m Meh.”
The stranger smiled. “Nice to meet you. I’m James Vo—ALN’s cousin.”
Meh’s eyes lit up.
“Wait… your last name is Vo? That’s awesome! Welcome to Mehearth!”
Just then, the ground started shaking.
RUMBLE… RUMBLE…
A gigantic Rock Golem stomped into the park.
“CITIZENS DETECTED. INITIATING DESTRUCTION.”
James looked at Meh.
“So… does this happen often?”
Meh shrugged.
“Pretty much every Tuesday.”
The two charged into battle.
The Rock Golem swung a massive fist, but Meh rolled underneath it and distracted the monster.
“Hey, Pebbles! Over here!”
The golem turned toward Meh, giving James an opening.
James grabbed a nearby steel pipe, leaped onto a broken wall, and landed on the golem’s shoulder.
“Here goes nothing!”
CLANG!
The hit didn’t hurt the golem much, but it made it lose its balance.
“Nice one!” Meh shouted.
Meh gathered all his strength into one punch.
“MEH SMASH!”
BOOOOOM!!
The Rock Golem exploded into hundreds of harmless pebbles that scattered across the park.
Silence.
Then everyone cheered.
James laughed.
“I wasn’t expecting my first day here to involve fighting a giant rock monster.”
Meh grinned.
“That’s just the beginning.”
The two spent the rest of the day exploring Mehearth. They raced through forests, sampled the world’s famous Mega Burgers, challenged each other to arcade games, and even had a contest to see who could make the funniest face.
By sunset, James smiled.
“I have to admit… this place is pretty amazing.”
Meh nodded.
“And you’re welcome back anytime.”
A portal reopened.
James stepped toward it before turning around.
“Next time I visit…”
“…let’s take on an even bigger adventure.”
Meh gave a thumbs-up.
“It’s a deal.”
As James disappeared through the portal, Meh smiled to himself.
“Something tells me this won’t be our last adventure together.”
The End… for now.
