A Casual Day @ Meh High
It was supposed to be a completely normal day at Meh High.
At least, that was what everyone thought when they walked through the front gates that morning.
The hallways were filled with the usual sounds: lockers slamming, shoes squeaking against the floor, and students complaining about how early school started. Nothing seemed unusual.
Until the principal walked into the main hallway carrying a giant cardboard box.
Nobody knew what was inside.
“Good morning, students!” Principal Meh announced over the intercom. “Today will be a perfectly ordinary school day.”
Everyone immediately became suspicious.
At 8:15, first period began. The teacher walked into the classroom, placed a stack of papers on the desk, and announced, “Pop quiz.”
The entire class groaned.
Then the lights flickered.
The teacher looked up.
The lights came back on.
“Never mind,” the teacher said. “The quiz has mysteriously disappeared.”
The class cheered.
By second period, rumors had already spread that something strange was happening at Meh High. Some students claimed they had seen a mysterious figure running through the science hallway. Others insisted the cafeteria had started serving actual good food.
That last rumor was clearly impossible.
At lunch, everyone rushed to the cafeteria.
And somehow, the rumor was true.
The cafeteria was serving pizza.
Not ordinary school pizza.
Fresh, cheesy, perfectly cooked pizza.
The cafeteria became completely silent.
Then someone whispered, “This can’t be Meh High.”
Suddenly, the fire alarm went off.
Everyone froze.
A voice came over the intercom.
“Attention, students. Please remain calm. This is only a test.”
The alarm stopped.
Five seconds later, it started again.
“Okay,” the voice said. “That one wasn’t a test.”
Students began laughing as teachers tried to figure out what was going on.
By the final period, the entire school had accepted that the day was officially weird.
Then Principal Meh appeared in the hallway with the mysterious cardboard box.
“Students,” he said, “I can finally explain everything.”
Everyone gathered around.
He opened the box.
Inside was…
a school mascot costume.
The crowd stared.
“That’s it?” someone asked.
“That’s it,” Principal Meh replied.
Apparently, the school had planned a surprise mascot appearance for the afternoon. Unfortunately, the mascot had accidentally gotten locked in a supply closet, the pizza delivery had arrived at the wrong time, and the fire alarm had malfunctioned.
There had never been a secret plan.
There had never been a mysterious figure.
It had simply been a very strange day.
The final bell rang.
Students grabbed their backpacks and headed for the exits.
As everyone walked home, one student looked back at the school and smiled.
“Just another casual day at Meh High.”
And somehow, everyone knew tomorrow would probably be even weirder.
